Our Story

Don Horné started making hot sauces over 10 years ago when squirrels ate everything in our garden except for a huge crop of hot peppers. We switched from making hot pickles and pickled vegetables to all-natural hot sauces. Everyone loved them so we grew more, and made more. We grow up to 20 of the hottest peppers in the world including the TOP 5 hottest ever!

But we don't make unnecessarily hot sauces for laughs or gimmicks. Our local Virginia sauces combine multiple levels of heat with REAL FLAVOR that is diverse and different without being violent or obscure on your tongue. ALL ingredients are fresh, and none are freeze dried, processed, or preserved in any way. No preservatives, additives, colors, or stabilizers come near our sauces.

Who We Are

After a successful Kickstarter in 2021, we started a business making and selling all natural, all local, hot sauces for sale on our web store and at local Virginia breweries, wineries, and farmers' markets. Our peppers come from Mount Olympus Berry Farm in Ruther Glen, VA, we blend and bottle our sauces at a farmer's co-op cannery in Farmville, VA, and we operate out of Burke, VA. And everything is still fresh, and all natural!

Horngoblin *Organic*

Horngoblin is a tomatillo and kiwi based verde sauce spiked with Serrano peppers that makes its home on Tex-Mex and street tacos, or any hispanic food like a beef pupusa. Made with Organic Peppers!

Van Helsing

Van Helsing is a garlic sauce with cayennes that is at home on hearty meats or vegetables like lamb kabobs, bison burgers, or sautéed Brussels sprouts.

Vinny Shakes

You grilled your favorite steak and seafood to perfection, and Vinny is here to make sure you don't do anything stupid on your special day of cooking. Don't use just any hot sauce on these dishes. Crafted for oysters, but superb on steak, shrimp, clams, mussels, and roasts.

Purple Reign

Purple Reign is the king of heat, and the Moruga peppers make sure that a few drops in a creamy potato soup or any Indian or Asian rice dish will warm your belly.

Donhorn Leghorn

Donhorn Leghorn is a fermented sriracha made from Thai Chili and Serrano peppers that's great on Eggs Benedict, or any egg breakfast or brunch. It also pairs well with asian dishes like a delicious Vietnamese Bun dish.
